WFS conducted a training workshop on the use of remote injection equipment made by TeleDart at Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary, Sahydari Tiger Reserve in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. The participants got practical hands on training of remote injection equipment and how to use it for wildlife management in an around the reserve. We were pleasantly surprised how fast the participants grasped the techniques and some of the students demonstrated the use of same impromptu. The need to chemically capture wild animals is raising day by day to ensure minimal conflict with humans. Frontline forest department staff needs to be prepared for the same to avoid any untoward situations. WFS’s tailor made courses are capable to preparing the staff to handle any kind of situation related to Chemical and Physical captures.
